WHAT IS QUILTED FABRIC?
The padding is made up of two fabrics, inside which a thickness is interposed. This set is topstitched to give geometric shapes like grids. This gives relief to the fabric.
The Quilted Jacket
The quilted jacket was invented in 1965 by a former American aviator living in England, Steve Guylas.
It was, historically, intended for hunters. Its pockets were large and allowed to slip cartridges and small game. It kept warm while protecting from the rain.
Its success and popularization were immediate when the Queen of England and her family began to wear it on their horseback rides.
Today, quilted clothes have naturally found their place in our dressing rooms.
They are warm, comfortable and endowed with a particular style given to them by the quilting. They can be worn chic or more sporty, depending on how they are combined.
