The History of the Denim Jacket

The story of a timeless jacket

Just like denim pants, the famous and historic Levi Strauss brand is behind the denim jacket. In 1880, the brand launched the Triple Pleat Blouse, a denim jacket with adjustable pleats, pockets, and copper rivets. Designed to be robust and functional, it was aimed at workers and cowboys.

Over time, it evolved. In 1967, Levi's introduced the Type III Trucker Jacket, which became the iconic style we know today. More fitted, with flap chest pockets and distinctive topstitching, it established itself as a classic in both men's and women's wardrobes.

It becomes a means of personal expression, often customized with embroidery, patches, or paintings, reflecting the identity and creativity of its owner. Adopted by personalities with varied styles, from rockers to Hollywood actors to fashion icons, the denim jacket has survived the ages without ever going out of style.

Here, it is the actor Marlon Brando and the talented Marilyn Monroe who wear it.

The more you wear it, the more it looks like you

Our Lucky denim jacket, crafted from authentic denim, will evolve with you. Over time, it will develop a patina and fade naturally to reveal an even more unique shade.

For optimal comfort, its denim fabric incorporates a touch of stretch, providing added comfort. It features two interior pockets and two side pockets, perfect for more functional use. It can also be worn as a jacket for a more casual look.

In these photos, Pierre, our model, is wearing his denim jacket, which has already been used. Its color has thus been nuanced, its character has been affirmed. Originally, it was a slightly darker shade, but each adventure has made it more personal.

Much more than just an item of clothing, a denim jacket is a companion. It tells your story, adapts to your style, and becomes more beautiful with age.

Versatile, practical, and iconic, it can be worn over a waistcoat and tie for a chic-casual look, or over a simple T-shirt for a casual look.

A symbol of freedom and rebellion, the denim jacket remains, even today, a staple of the modern, timeless, and universal wardrobe.
