The iconic Field Jacket

The Evolution of the Field Jacket

We've reissued a historic military piece: the Field Jacket, dubbed the West Summer in our collection. This jacket, a symbol of the military, has survived the decades and established itself as a staple of the men's wardrobe.

Although today it is mainly made of nylon to meet the demands of soldiers, we have chosen to return to its original and iconic characteristics; those that have made it successful across generations. Thus, we have opted for a unique Italian cotton canvas, worked with a subtle wash to accentuate its vintage and adventurous style, faithful to the original spirit.

But we didn't stop there. We also redesigned its cut, drawing inspiration from our iconic blazer: the Slack Ivy. The result? A legendary, contemporary, and tailored military jacket.

One of the most distinctive features is its number of pockets. The West Summer is equipped with four large gusseted flap pockets, which are not only practical but also central to the DNA of this piece. These spacious pockets add practicality and reinforce the jacket's functional and adventurous appeal.

It's a versatile piece that adapts to all styles and situations. It can even be worn with a tie. Our customers have even nicknamed it "the Biarritz blazer."

This military jacket has established itself as a true symbol of style, popularized by cinema and worn by great actors like De Niro in Taxi Driver or Stallone in Rambo, but also by great war reporters, seduced by its practical and functional side.

Today, no matter your profession, you'll fall under the spell of this iconic piece. Its rugged style, military history, and practicality make it a must-have.
