The Wood is our best-selling winter overshirt. We have always made it in wool fabrics, exploring different shades or patterns: a deep denim blue, a timeless beige, an extravagant red and a houndstooth pattern with a strong character. Today, we have chosen to revisit this iconic piece in a new fabric: khaki corduroy inspired by military clothing. With the arrival of mid-season, it is the ideal time to adopt it; wool gives way to velvet.
This version is an experiment, that's why we've only made a few limited pieces... Don't wait too long because after that it might be too late to get it.
A precise design, an impeccable fit
While the Wood overshirt may seem quite simple at first glance, its construction betrays a real attention to detail. Made by hand, it benefits from a "tailor-made" assembly which gives it an impeccable drape and a natural elegance. Each finish has been designed to offer a garment that is robust, comfortable and elegant.
This jacket is distinguished by its two pointed flap chest pockets, an iconic detail of the USMC WWII military shirt, from which we took inspiration. It also has jacket-style side pockets for added functionality and practicality on a daily basis. Its khaki quilted nylon lining, identical to that of our Rescue vest, provides effective insulation while remaining lightweight, breathable and comfortable. Easy to care for, this piece can be machine washed.
Positioned halfway between a jacket and a windbreaker, our overshirt adapts to all circumstances. It stands out as an essential piece in the men's wardrobe, combining style and practicality with disconcerting ease.
You can wear it with a turtleneck sweater or a denim shirt (the one you see in these photos is a new one that we will present to you soon). Also ideal for mid-season, it will be perfect over a white t-shirt.
