The reversible vest: classic and daring
One vest for endless possibilities
We don't need to introduce our Dandy vest to you anymore, it's the perfect ally for the elegant indecisive. One day classic, the next day bold... it adapts to your moods and your daily life. Quite different from our iconic and traditional Marius vest, the Dandy is fully reversible, it has a double crossed buttonhole, inspired by sailor blazers.
Handmade in our workshop, it combines two fabrics with very distinct worlds:
• One side is a mottled Irish wool herringbone in khaki and brown tones, with a subtle relief and natural elegance. This weave and its nuances of threads give it depth, originality and authenticity. It is rather classic and timeless.
• On the other side, we used a quilted nylon ripstop fabric dyed in a unique brown color. Entirely developed by us, it faithfully reproduces the characteristics of the ripstop used in the Army for its robustness. It is the same fabric as that of our Rescue vest. This military fabric brings an offbeat and modern touch to a classic double-breasted vest.
Both chic and rebellious, this double-breasted vest plays on contrasts by combining two fabrics that are complete opposites, for a unique and singular look. It's a real mix of styles for which you'll love having the choice between a formal side and a more offbeat one.
Quilted patterns: aesthetics or functionality ?
Here, the quilted seams are wave-shaped. They are reminiscent of the famous "M-65 liner", used in American Army jackets. These waves or undulations follow an organic pattern that gives great flexibility to the fabric.
In the military field, this is the most common design with diamond shapes.
