The Marius Pocket Houndstooth Vest

HistoRY

The Marius Pocket tailored vest is one of our essential models. It has an elegant, fitted cut.

It is its details which give it a touch of originality and an “adventurous safari style”, thanks in particular to its bellows safari pockets.

This houndstooth pattern is timeless, it was created in Scotland in 1880 and it has never left our wardrobes since.

Traditionally black and white, it was used for making warm clothing. It was worn by shepherds and its colors were neutral, far from the clan battles of the time.

It was popularized by the Prince of Wales in 1934 and then became the emblem of the great fashion designer Christian Dior and even Coco Chanel.

QualitY

On the front, it is made of 100% Italian linen fabric. Its houndstooth pattern (in blue, sand and earth colors) is smaller than those we are used to seeing and yet it gives it real elegance and originality.

It has a lapel collar, a martingale at the back that you can tighten as you wish, two interior pockets, 3 bellows pockets and beige corozo buttons.

Its interior lining is cotton, indigo color with thin white stripes.

On the back, its fabric is made of linen and cotton and it is white.

Style

It's a vest that you can wear in an offbeat way with vintage jeans, a white t-shirt and a safari jacket for example or in a more classic way, with a tie, under a blazer and with pleated pants.

It adapts to all situations, it's up to you to make it your own !
