STORY

This vest is a tartan cotton flannel patchwork. This is a pattern originating from Scotland. It is made up of vertical and horizontal colored lines that intersect to form squares.

Its first representation was found on an earthen pot from the 3rd century. It will be used as a pattern on textiles only from the 17th century. At the time, it was a national symbol that was also associated with royalty.

The famous kilts are themselves made with tartan wool fabrics.
