The vest, this historical garment is our flagship piece. Today, we create it for you in a unique and exclusive model made from iconic and timeless vintage clothing. No one but you will carry it on their shoulders.
We make this piece from work overalls, military jackets or cargos or even Shibori fabrics. Each of these garments has been hunted down for a long time in the four corners of the world, thanks to locals or in vintage shops (thrift stores). Models, fabrics, washes and colors are exceptional and cannot be reproduced.
Each manufactured vest is unique since it will be made from an antique piece.
One Fabric, One Touch & One Color
These overalls, military jackets and fatigues are a real treasure made over 40 years ago. Shibori dates from about ten years ago and comes from the African desert.
These fabrics are solid, their color is faded, their touch is remarkable and their wear is exceptional.
All these elements make each of these pieces particularly special and unrepeatable.
As Solid As Timeless
These mottled pieces are mainly in canvas, herringbone and moleskin. These are very sturdy fabrics that are rarely found in today's fast fashion market.
Moleskin is a tightly woven cotton canvas covered with a coating resembling the grain of leather. Aesthetically, it looks like velvet. Formidably strong, it was used in the manufacture of work overalls in particular.
The canvas, on the other hand, is a thick cotton canvas, very solid, resistant and waterproof since it is also used in the manufacture of canvas for sailboats.
Just like red-selvedge denim, these fabrics improve over time.
Rewrite Together A New story
Each of these garments has a story, a past, an experience. We have also happened to find old sawdust while cutting the pockets of our second-hand clothes; true and authentic proof of the experience of work overalls (don't worry, these vintage fabrics are washed and treated in our workshops before being disassembled and then reassembled). They also have a real robustness of fabric which allows us today to reuse them and give them a second life.
Our One to One concept responds to this desire to make clothes from responsible, committed and recycled production. This is called up-cycling.
At a time of overconsumption and the mass-produced textile industry, we have chosen to recycle and take the time to look for suitable, solid fabrics that carry history.
We take the time to design each piece with passion.
This vest will bring you its touch, its past. In return, you will give it a second wind, a new fall and start together a new story.
In the Designer's Hands
It is our designer who chooses each fabric, each piece. He will lay the garment flat, cut it out and place his pattern on it after having first drawn his cutting plan.
The lining and the back of the vest are Italian and Japanese fabrics of exceptional quality.
If you choose to acquire a unique vest, we will tell you about each step of making this garment through photos. The story of this piece will be told to you because it is unique and it will be yours. We will carry the personalization up to write your name on the vest label.
This is a project that our designer had been thinking about for quite some time and which only recently saw the light of day thanks to the acquisition of our own clothing workshop in Lisbon. Acquiring this unique piece means choosing to trust the designer and let him create an original cardigan for you.
These pieces will not be exactly as you see them in the photos, each will have a unique fabric, wash, color and lining.
Sold Out
Faced with the enthusiasm of many customers for these models, fabric stocks quickly ran out. These fabrics, precious because of their history, their rarity and their limited availability, unfortunately no longer allow us to continue this project for the moment. Rather than compromise the requirement for quality and authenticity that drives us, we have chosen to put this collection on hold. However, we remain on the lookout for new opportunities to obtain these exceptional materials.
If we succeed, we will have the pleasure of reviving this concept and offering these unique pieces again.
Pre-Sale
These vests are only available for pre-sale. You can place an order on our website, by phone or in one of our stores.
The production time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
You choose your size and your fabric (overalls, military khaki, reversible shibori or reversible floral khaki) and our designer, in person, takes care of the rest.
As explained above, you will be kept informed of the progress of the project thanks to visuals that we will send you during each stage of production.
