The invention of a more flexible sole

The creation of the sneaker dates back to the end of the 19th century. This is a time when the use of rubber is on the rise in the industrial sector. It was the American brand US Rubber Company which, in 1916, decided to integrate a flexible rubber sole into its pair of shoes, the Keds. Its knows a real success thanks to her comfort, his style but also his discretion. Indeed, the soles are silent, which is why this shoe will be renamed "sneaker".

From sports fields to the streets

The following year, the famous Converse brand will create one of its flagship models with a rubber sole, The Chuck Taylor All Star, which was specially created for basketball players. The Adidas brand also developed one of its flagship models in 1964, the Stan Smith, especially for tennis players.

Historically made for professional athletes, the sneaker will become more democratic and experience real success in the 80s, thanks in particular to hip-hop culture. Today, it is worn by all generations, without distinction of social class or sex.

We wanted to develop a pair of sneakers that had both a classic and original style, which is the case with our Sneaker 2.

Its quality and comfort are exceptional because it is entirely in leather, it has no canvas, mesh or nylon. Its lining is in full-grain leather for incomparable comfort, and perforated for a breathable sneaker. The only material that differs from leather is obviously the rubber of its sole. Our signature, the red selvedge braid, is present on the tongue and at the back of the shoe and gives it its originality. They are made in Europe.

It adapts to all styles ! This tennis is one of the basics to have in your wardrobe.
