The timeless piece for athletes, soldiers and adventurers

Henley, also called "skin knitting", originated in the 19th century in England. At that time it was all-in-one, meaning the top and bottom were linked together, like a combination. It provided protection from the cold because it was made of wool and cotton.

In 1839, English rowing athletes adopted it for its thermal qualities, comfort and ease. Then it will be used and appreciated by American soldiers on the ground, in Korea and Vietnam. It was then adopted by the workers before being more widely democratized.

We regularly find him in the cinema, in action films, worn by great actors like Charles Bronson, Tom Cruise or Bruce Lee.

Our interpretation of Henley

It is a thermal garment, 100% organic cotton, with long sleeves, in "waffle knit" with a square pattern. This weave, also called "honeycomb", allows it to be both warmer and more absorbent while allowing air to circulate, so it has the advantage of drying very quickly. Its feel is pleasant and its fabric is very robust. Its square pattern is graphic and gives it elegance and originality.

We washed it, stained it and stoned it (washed it) to give it a vintage effect. It was available in 3 iconic colors: ecru, khaki and indigo. Its collar is opened with two buttons.

We have brought it up to date by offering it a more modern cut for a trendy, casual and comfortable style, but it remains no less authentic!

We worked on its design for over 2 years. Obtaining such a result in terms of quality, cut and weaving is impossible in large industry.

It's a timeless piece that can be worn with everything: alone, under a jacket or layered with several layers of fabric and colors, for a more sophisticated and original look that mixes styles!

“The essential is timeless”.
