What is Quilted Fabric ?

Some time ago and a few newsletters already, we talked to you about quilted fabric...
It is a fabric which is made up of two fabrics inside which a more or less dense thickness intersects. We then topstitch the whole thing using a thread which forms a geometric pattern to give relief, originality and solidity to the fabric.

It's generally used for making jackets, coats and down jackets. It is also widely used and appreciated in the military sector because it is flexible, silent, water-repellent and warm.

We had the idea of taking inspiration from it and diverting it by using it to do what we do best; mix styles by creating our flagship and emblematic piece; vest. But this time, we're doing it in a more sporty and comfortable way !

Our quilted creations ?

We called it the Rescue Light Vest and made it available in 4 unique colors. It is made of Italian polyamide and has a very pleasant cotton feel thanks to a special pigment treatment which also gives it a vintage appearance. Its weaving is reinforced with a ripstop nylon grid which makes it more solid. The thickness which forms the quilting of this vest is called thermo wadding, it provides volume, flexibility and real thermal resistance. We chose the geometric wave design which was very popular and used by the US military.

Its quilting is light, comfortable and breathable, so it can be worn in any season. It helps prevent us from catching a cold on cool summer evenings or keeps us warmer under our winter coat.

It is wrinkle-free and compactable, so it can be transported easily. The interior linings are colorful and enhance the style and originality of these pieces. These are limited editions, available in only 50 copies.

This piece is timeless and versatile. It can be worn over a t-shirt, for a cool and trendy look, as well as over a tie shirt for a more sophisticated occasion or even under a coat for a style where you combine various materials and colors for a " sprezzatura allure".

You too, dare to mix styles !
