The blazer first appeared in 1837, when the captain of the Royal Navy ship "HMS BLAZER" dressed his crew in navy blue double-breasted jackets with copper buttons, on the occasion of the visit of Queen Victoria.
Another hypothesis on the history of the blazer says that it was invented in Cambridge, for the sportsmen of a nautical club.
We will find it a little later used by country clubs and in colleges and then end up in our wardrobes.
Today, it has become timeless. It is one of the basics that everyone should have.
We have developed this historic and emblematic blazer of London clubs in navy blue wool twill.
Its fabric is Italian and comes from one of the most prestigious factories.
This weaving method "twill" is a weave that forms diagonal lines on the canvas. It is extremely strong, wrinkle-resistant and indestructible.
It is also a fabric that does not require interfacing.
Its finishes are perfectly worked with French seams in particular; it's a specific technique which makes it possible to obtain clean, well-worked and solid finishes. There are no visible edges.
We were also inspired by the crests of London regimental clubs with a colorful design.
It's visible on the reverse of the collar and on the integrated pocket. Its fabric is similar to that of ties, very smooth and pleasant to the touch.
Its double slit in the back gives real ease and comfort to this blazer jacket.
It has patch pockets, a sunglasses pocket and our signature "red-selvedge" braid on the buttonholes of the sleeves and at the collar.
The Blazer Ivy Navy has a style that is both chic and sporty, it all depends on how you wear it.
It has a really perfect cut and fall that will give you an elegant and slender silhouette.
