The essence of our inspiration

Our house was born in Biarritz and draws its inspiration from the lifestyle of this city. Obviously, surfing is at the heart of this dynamic and this very particular philosophy.

If you are a loyal reader of our newsletters, then you already know this; the history of clothing is mainly linked to the Army or sport. Today, we are addressing these two themes with our new sweatshirt...

Do you know the role of Surfing during the Vietnam War?

American soldiers enlisted in combat had an escape: Surfing. For a moment, they abandoned their weapons and their uniforms to go to the beach and face the waves of the ocean. China Beach was these soldiers' most famous surfing spot. It was an outlet for them that allowed them to leave the horrors of war on the sand and row towards the immensity of the ocean to benefit from its therapeutic power.

Surfing to forget... much more than a sport, a real therapy.

Orange and Khaki, the colors of the Army

Today, we present to you the orange and khaki sweatshirts which make the special link between the American Army and surfing thanks to their colors and prints.

Khaki allows you to camouflage yourself and not be spotted by the enemy. Orange, on the other hand, allows you to be seen. Indeed, it is the color of the interior of bombers; in the event of a crash, the pilot could then turn his jacket inside out and reveal this bright color as a sign of distress. He thus became more visible to his companions who could come to help him.

These sweatshirts are made of cotton and have been dyed using natural pigments. Their style is vintage thanks to a particular washing process. The interior has an authentic weave similar to the first university sweatshirts in history.

Bruce Blandy made his own surfboard in Vietnam while serving in the Navy.
In the heart of the battle or in the middle of the beach, this military vehicle could have two functions.

This piece offers a casual style. She exudes a serene, peaceful and comfortable attitude. It is suitable for a casual look and can also be worn after a sports session. It's a sweatshirt in which you feel completely comfortable and which you don't want to take off.

“Erase time and surf the present.”
