The blazer first appeared in 1837 when the captain of the ship 'HMS BLAZER' had his crew don navy blue double breasted jackets with copper Royal Navy buttons for the visit of Queen Victoria.
It will then become an iconic jacket in the American summer wardrobe, Ivy League university trend.
Today, it is a timeless item that can be found in all dressing rooms.
Its fabric is in "piqué" mesh, which allows it to be airy and honeycombed. Thus, it is exceptionally comfortable and light.
Its quality finishes make it possible to create a jacket without lining, with perfect finishes.
It has AMF English stitching. It is a seam that is both aesthetic because it gives a "university blazer" spirit but also qualitative because it allows to better finish the edges of a garment and solidifies them. It is a high-end type of sewing, “tailored” style.
It has 3 patch pockets, a ticket/glasses pocket, an inside pocket, and real open buttonholes on the handles. Its buttons are white. It has two slits at the back for more ease and comfort.
It has been stone-washed, that is to say, it has been washed with stones for a faded effect and more pleasant to the touch.
