HISTOIRE

The blazer is timeless and one of the basics that everyone must have in their wardrobe.

It appeared in 1837 when the captain of the ship 'HMS BLAZER' had his crew dressed in navy blue double-breasted jackets with copper buttons from the Royal Navy for a visit from Queen Victoria.

We will find it a little later used by country clubs and in colleges and then end up in our wardrobe.

QUALITY

This blazer is handmade in our own workshop, in Lisbon, in the traditional way with 100% cotton velvet fabric, with thick ribbing.

It has real relief, hand and remarkable texture. It has been garment dyed, which means the garment was dyed after it was made. This gives a very particular feel and color to the fabric.

Its finishes and this quality Italian cotton make it possible to create an unlined jacket, with an incredible hand and unrivaled comfort (notably thanks to its two slits at the back).

This Slack jacket has three patch pockets, a ticket/glasses pocket and two interior pockets.

Its seams are English, it is a specific technique which allows you to obtain clean, well-worked and solid finishes. There are no visible edges.

Its fabric is very soft because the dyeing was done only after it was made. It has real open buttonholes on the sleeves and a border with our red-selvedge type braid. Its black buttons are corozo.

STYLE

Velvet is a timeless fabric that gives a real look that is both authentic and original.
